Health & Safety

Guidelines

Everyone is getting ready for new routines and ways to still find entertainment in life. We, at Running Aces, are ready to share with you some developments on our plan to re-open.

As we open in phases, there will be many safety measures in place to make sure we are following all guidelines from the CDC and our Governor to ensure that our employees and guests stay as safe as possible. Some of the safety measures we are implementing or increasing include:
  • An added Health and Safety Compliance Administrator to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed
  • Regulated entrance and exits into the building with reduced occupancy
  • Non-contact temperature checks for all guests and employees that enter the building through a thermal imaging camera
  • Facemasks will be required for all employees and guests in the building
  • Social distancing our gaming tables and spreading them throughout the building
  • Reducing the number of people on gaming tables to 3-4 players (depending on the game type and size of the table)
  • Added Plexiglas shields for the dealers/players to be separated along with player/player shields
  • Daily cleaning of our gaming chips
  • Increased frequency of changing out the cards on the gaming tables
  • Increased staffing levels to increase cleaning frequency of high traffic areas
  • Reduced restaurant operations and no self-service beverage stations
  • We continue to be smoke-free throughout the facility, including the gaming floor and hotel

Horse Racing:

We are currently working with the MN Racing Commission along with the Minnesota Harness Racing Inc. group to finalize our racing dates. We have applied for our live racing to start on June 20th with all of our race times to start at 1:00 p.m. CST. We are committed to live racing this year even if that means we will not be allowed to have fans in the stands. As soon as we are able to have spectators, we will do so accordingly to state guidelines. Horse racing and access to the stables have their own set of protocols that include temperature checks, required facemasks and increased cleaning of high traffic areas. Horse Racing access to the stables will have their own set of protocols that include:
  • Temperature checks at the main security gate
  • Face masks for all staff and horse professionals
  • Increased cleaning of high traffic areas

Hotel:

The brand new Running Aces Hotel will be opening June 1st. It is the newest hotel in the area and has many great features such as expanded hallways throughout the facility, the largest standard rooms in the state, and a 65” TV in every room. Some of the additional safety measures the hotel is taking include:
  • Each check-in will receive a small pack of sanitizing wipes and instructions
  • All paper collateral will be removed from guest rooms
  • Upon check out, rooms will be cleaned and not re-rented for 24-48 hours
  • Reduced daily housekeeping for multiple night stays. Contactless deliveries for any additional items needed
  • Door key cards disinfected after use
  • Pre-made grab-n-go breakfast bags for breakfast- no buffet

Other Events & Concerts:

We are finalizing details on how to utilize our parking lot to ensure we can still provide safe, in-car entertainment for our guests with social distancing in mind. Some of the events we are planning on executing under the new safety guidelines in the parking lot are:
  • Drive-In Movies
  • Live Concerts including Trilogy on June 26
  • Charitable Car BINGO
